Actor Prabhas' recent Telugu film Billa, starring three South Indian glamour figures Anushka, Hansika, Namitha, has created history by becoming the fourth consecutive hit remake of 70's Bollywood thriller Don, said director Meher Ramesh, adding that no film in the world has proved to be a hit even during its fourth remake.The original Don (1978) was remade in Tamil as Billa with superstar Rajinikanth in 1980. In 2006 and 2008, the modern version of Don was remade by Shahrukh Khan in Hindi (Don 2) and by Ajith in Tamil (Billa).
All Don movies were super hits. According to publicists, Billa is going strong, having collected over Rs. 110 million since its release. Its collection in Hyderabad alone came to Rs. 5 crore. Billa has also become one of the highest grosser in Prabhas' career.
